HERRINGBONE POLYESTER SHRINK TAPE – Class F 155°C
Polyester heat-shrink tapes are woven using yarns that exhibit high shrinkage at high temperatures.
They are therefore essential for creating self-locking windings through appropriate heat treatment; they are recommended for intermediate thermal classes.
Heat-shrink tapes are universally used for insulating air- and oil-filled transformer cores.
They are also often used as sacrificial tapes in the winding of electrical machines.
They are particularly suitable for taping electric motor windings, transformers, and coils. They shrink when heated, thus locking the taped parts together.
