Thanks to their dielectrical and mechanical characteristics, they can be used to fill the slots of electrical motors, to insulate transformers and everywhere thickness or support are needed.

The beechwood is evaporated in particular furnaces in order to make it soft and flexible. Into the furnace, besides being evaporated, they are also sapped to reduce the percentage of moisture between 12 and 15%.
During the manufacturing of the slot wedges the percentage of moisture further decreases,in order to obtain a product durable in its dimensions.
